Cailin Drakos
President
Mrs. Drakos currently serves as President of Cross Construction Inc., where she is responsible for business development and company operations.
Prior to joining Cross, Mrs. Drakos worked as an Aerospace Engineer for Northrop Grumman’s Aerospace Systems Sector, where she managed the Modeling & Simulation team on cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems. In this role, Mrs. Drakos oversaw domestic and international projects valued at over $80M.
Mrs. Drakos holds a B.S. in Operations Research Engineering for Cornell University and a Master of Systems Engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology. She is passionate about building cultures that thrive on delivering exceptional customer service through superior execution on complex and challenging projects.
Lauren Hagglund
Business Development
Mrs. Hagglund currently leads Business Development for Cross Construction Inc. In this role she is responsible for responding to new project inquiries, conducting site walks and providing preliminary proposals. Prior to Business Development, Mrs. Hagglund served as a Project Manager for Cross Construction, where she successfully completed dozens of projects valued at over $5M.
Prior to joining Cross, Mrs. Hagglund worked as an Account Manager for Debora Carl Landscape Design, where she was responsible for onsite assessments, project estimates, draft site plans and coordination with the city. Mrs. Hagglund holds a B.S. in Environmental Horticultural Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Matt Reuther
Pre-Construction Manager
Mr. Reuther currently serves as Pre-Construction Manager for Cross Construction Inc., where he ensures that all aspects of each project are accounted for and all stakeholders are ready prior to breaking ground. Mr. Reuther’s responsibilities include site walks, quantity take-offs, preliminary estimating, constructability review, scope review, contract execution and project buyout. This thorough approach to project setup eliminates surprises to ensure seamless project delivery.
Prior to joining Cross, Mr. Reuther worked as a Project Manager for West Coast General Corporation, where he was responsible for estimating and managing large commercial and public works projects, valued at over $50M. Before joining West Coast General, Mr. Reuther worked on numerous residential construction projects. Mr. Reuther has extensive experience in site development, including concrete, paving, wet & dry utilities and masonry. Mr. Reuther holds a B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Delaware.
Matt Walters
Project Manager
Mr. Walters currently serves as Project Manager for Cross Construction Inc., where he is responsible for managing the construction phase of each project. Mr. Walters develops and tracks detailed project budgets and schedules, and manages the coordination of the project team, including clients, architects, engineers, designers, public officials, and subcontractors to ensure each project is completed successfully.
Prior to joining Cross, Mr. Walters served as Project Manager for Slate Property Group, and C.I.M. Group where he was responsible for managing the development and construction of value-add and ground-up multifamily and mixed-use projects in excess of 250,000 square feet, with more than 350 units, and with a combined value of more than $125M. Prior to C.I.M. Group, Mr. Walters served as a Project Manager with Carrington Development Company, where he managed the development and construction of residential projects throughout the United States. Mr. Walters holds a B.A. from Union College.
Kirk Westerfield
Senior Superintendent
Mr. Westerfield has more than 30 years of building experience, having completed commercial, multi-family, master planned, custom home and extensive remodel projects valued at over $300M.
Prior to joining Cross, Mr. Westerfield worked as a Senior Project Manager for Carrington Development Company where he completed residential projects throughout the United States. Before Carrington, Mr. Westerfield served as the Southern California region Construction Manager for Lennar Corp., a leading national homebuilder. In this role, he was responsible for all field operations on single-family, multi-family and master planned communities with nearly 750 units. Mr. Westerfield holds both California B and C-8 contractor’s licenses.
